DDC was formed by Ivor de Sousa who has worked successfully as an Executive Coach, Headteacher, Educational Psychologist, Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and Teacher. This diverse range of experiences, spanning 25 years, working extensively with teams and individuals in challenging circumstances has shaped the approaches that we utilise. Our Team

 

 

Ivor de Sousa

 

Ivor is Director of DDC, an executive and leadership coach, a registered educational psychologist and an educational consultant. Ivor is passionate about developing others and empowering them to achieve success. He has worked successfully in a diverse range of roles in his 25 year career; including: Executive Coach - Headteacher - Educational Psychologist - Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator - Science Leader - Teacher. This has given him considerable insight into successful approaches to lead and develop others. He has extensive experience in leadership development; effectively utilising coaching, mentoring and training to enable executive, senior and middle leaders to develop and achieve success across a range of settings and sectors.

 

Ivor was recognised by Ofsted as providing “inspirational” and “outstanding leadership” in his role as a headteacher ensuring that “the whole school works together very effectively as a team”. As a Headteacher,Educational Psychologist, Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator and Teacher, Ivor has worked with children and young people (aged 2-18), families and professionals from a range of agencies to develop provision to successfully enable children and young people to successfully overcome barriers to their learning and address a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs. In addition, he has developed and led training on approaches to achieve this.
